Andrew Solum, Travel & Event manager and Director of Travel Industry Associates began his travel career in the United States working for Lindblad Travel, one of the first companies to organise tours to China after the doors were opened to visitors. He continued his travel career in London, England as the travel manager for Inmarsat, a satellite telecommunications company. After eight years at Inmarsat, Andrew noticed a niche gap in the travel market, and established Travel Industry Associates Ltd., to serve the needs of the small to medium-sized corporate travel market as an outsourced travel and event manager. He brings his wealth of contacts, experiences and industry knowledge to key companies to effect an ideal travel solution based upon each client's unique requirements.

Andrew is frequently quoted in the press (Financial Times, The Daily Telegraph, BTN Business Travel News, Business Travel World, The International Herald Tribune, Business Traveller, The Daily Mail) and has appeared on European Business News television programme several times. He has provided consultancy services to several major airlines, in a bid to improve aviation products for the traveller, and has assisted several hotels in critical feedback with an aim to improve their products. He is invited to speak from time to time at leading travel industry forums, and has led travel management forums of corporate travel managers on behalf of key suppliers.

In his spare time, Andrew is a keen traveller, visiting all corners of the world on a regular basis. He is passionate about travel, and therefore his career is a perfect match for his passionate interests!!


Lynne Bicknell, Director of Travel Industry Associates, has an excellent track record of working with a broad range of companies in demanding and progressive environments. She began her travel industry career within the financial sector where she was employed by the London branch of a US bank. Among her responsibilities were the strategic development of all business travel issues and the management of a large travel budget

In the last 4 years Lynne has provided business travel consultancy and management consultancy services to a number of companies. She has been involved in a number of ground breaking deals and initiatives that have yielded positive and excellent results. She has utilised her impressive travel management skills not only in the office environment, but administering conferences and events both in the UK and abroad.

Lynne is also an avid traveller, having been to most corners of the globe. She has taken extensive trips around India, South America, Asia, Africa and the United States, and spends much of her leisure time on visits around Europe.


Alison F. Ludwig - Alison's career as a nutritionist started with her Bachelor's degree in Dietetics and Food Administration in California. She is currently working on her Master's Degree at the University of Bristol, which includes a multi-disciplinary focus in Nutrition, Physical Activity and Public Health. She is a member of a Freelance Nutritionist Committee, headed by Dr. Margaret Ashwell, a foremost Nutritional Scientist in the UK; she is also a member of the British Nutrition Foundation and a member of the Association for the Study of Obesity. Alison regularly attends conferences and seminars around the world relating to the latest nutritional issues.

Recent nutritional work has included public relations with a large food manufacturing company, research and investigation for a London functional food organization and menu analysis for catering firms. She is very interested in the concept of wellness and health promotion within a corporate environment. Additionally, Alison is a keen lover of foods from around the world. An avid restaurant attendee, Alison thrives with diverse menus, unusual foods, experimenting with different styles and products. This makes her an ideal addition to the Events Division of Travel Industry Associates, as Alison offers superb advice on food and wine to our clients, ensuring that they have the very best menus that are well balanced. Her eye for detail and demand for top quality is a winner with customers time after time.
